Shapeshift into an architect and build descending suits, starting from the KING to the ACE. 10 columns are going to proclaim you the winner of the game if you make all the possible descending suits. When you accomplish one suit, it will be automatically eliminated and right-placed near the 8th card sequences. By completing one suite, you win 100 points. You are the KING or QUEEN of Spider when making all 8th formations and eliminate all the cards.
You know the cards, the objective, and how to be the winner; but how about the rules? Don’t be scared, they are easy to follow. Even a beginner can understand them, so follow the list below and be the master of the game!
There is a possibility to move a card that is found at the end of a column only if it will form a descending succession. Also, you can move cards sequences like 9,8,7 to 10 to another row, to complete a sequence.
- The blank columns can be filled with any cards/sequence.
- The rows formed with 4 cards can be placed upside down.
- Every completed descending sequence is moved in the right corner of the game.
- Press UNDO to cancel a movement.
- Press the deck to place a random card on each column.
- Complete the black spaces before adding new cards.
- You can click on the card deck only for 5 times.
- The game is divided into 3 levels of different difficulty. Choose to play with 1 suite, 2 suits or the 4 suits.
How to layout cards
The card decks are mixed well together and then dealt with. The number of mixed decks depends on the chosen level of the game. In the begging, you can recognize four complete rows of 10 cards placed with their face upside down, followed by the five-row that is formed of 4 cards displaced upside-down and other 6 visible cards. After this row, there is a sixth one made of four visible cards. Start to make combinations and, press the deck (on the right corner of the game window) to take other cards if you no longer can complete sequences.
1 Suite – Easy
This is the first level of the game. Also, it’s the easiest one, so if you are a beginner we strongly advise you to try it before other medium-hard levels. Why? In this stage, the game is functioning only with one deck of cards, meaning that you can make the winning combinations faster. Here, you play just with the spades. You can move the cards with one condition, to count a point! For example, you can move the 10 of spades over the Ace of spades. There is a possibility to move a sequence of descending cards if you need to make other good combinations. After getting the game, move up to the harder levels and be a pro!
2 Suits – Medium
This is the most frequently played variation of Spider. Why? Players try the enhance the level of the difficulty by playing Spider with 2 decks of cards. They are going to be mixed and placed in the upper line. To start playing it, press on the cards found in the left corner of the screen and start to make descending combinations. For example, a sequence like K, Q, J,…..,3,2,1 is a winning one. You can click directly on the cards to join the other one which is bigger than it. The level of difficulty is medium, so it won’t be easy, but it won’t be hard enough to make all the 8 descending combinations and win it.
4 Suits – Hard
Feeling the heat of this game? If you gained experience previously, then you should try out the harder version. You have to play it with 3 decks of cards, and 4 suits. The game is more complex, but it will give each player a bigger satisfaction if they manage to defeat it. The difference of this level and the other ones is that you can place an entire suite on the top of another. Entertain yourself with the hardest level and be a master of Spider!
All Spider Solitaire games are winnable in a certain percentage. Players tend to lose more often due to the wrong moves made during the game. This is leading us to a probability of winning up to 79%. In theory, people that judge logically every move have a 91.5% chance to win the game. The key is to concentrate and move the sequences of the cards prudently.
The difference between Spider Solitaire and the regular Solitaire game is determined by the number of the stacks – 7 to the classic game, and 10 to Spider. The standard version os Solitaire uses all of the cards suites in a game, while Spider isn’t do it. Why? Because there are three different levels of difficulty, played with one suite (black spade), 2 suits (black spade and red hearts), and 4 suits ( diamond, club, hearts, and spades).
As you know, the last level of Spider Solitaire is the most difficult one. Played with 3 card decks and all the forth suits (club, spades, hearts, and diamonds), users may find it difficult to win it. There is more likely to make mistakes and press the undo button, so your chances of winning are close to 30%. However, it’s not impossible to beat the third level of Spider if you will think deeply every move that you need to make. Just be more strategic to acquire the desired victory!
Yes, you can! Yet, you don’t have to worry about it! Solitaire is one of the most popular online games and it’s 100% free, so you won’t lose anything. You will gain experience and entertain yourself. If you are a beginner, start by trying out the first level of Spider (the one that is played only with 1 suite), and then, increase the degree of difficulty with the 2nd and the 3rd level. Watch out your moves and pay attention to them if you wish to defeat the game.
If we are going back in time, specifically in the 1960s, Paul Alfille invented a new Solitaire game, different from the classic one, which was also called FreeCell Solitaire. In that period, he was just a young boy, aged 10. With time, in 1979 he created the PC version of his game. After that, other niches that included solitaire grew, and new inventors began to develop a variety of card games.
Sometimes, online card games can be fun and addictive if they are played daily, and Solitaire isn’t an exception. Why? Being one of the most popular and old PC games from all the time, Solitaire can make its players remember their childhood in seconds.
